There is no denying that Italian fare is by far the favoured cuisine of Tironians. Pizza, pasta, risotto and of course, Italian wines such as Cianti, Montepulciano and Sangiovese dominate the menu at the majority of restaurants.
That’s exactly what you’ll get at EATalians, but the point of difference here is the atmosphere – a lovely interior which offers more privacy than most restaurants due to its design and a great outdoor area to be enjoyed in the summer. Expect to pay around 1500 ALL per person including drinks for an average meal, more for something more special with a few extra courses.
The big reason we recommend this restaurant is for their excellent wines and antipasto plate with mix of meats and cheeses. It’s a huge serving and price appropriate. We prefer this as a dessert, much like the French, however Italians (and Albanians!) will tell you this is absolutely intended as an appetizer. The complimentary bruschetta was a lovely surprise, too!
The restaurant has recently been reinvigorated, with a new chef on board and some updates to the menu. We’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a meal there since, and the influx of seafood on the menu gave us eyes much bigger than our stomachs.
From a service perspective, we had previously found staff rather uninterested, unless you were served by the owner. However, more recently we have found that we are always greeted with a smile, served efficiently and have waiters who talk to us about the food with passion – makes for a really pleasant experience!
