This is arguably one of the most famous restaurants in Tirana, well known amongst locals, expats and tourists alike. Due to its longstanding inclusion in popular guidebooks, it’s quite often a feature of itineraries.

There’s a reason they’ve been able to make a name for themselves too, as nowhere in Tirana will you find the level of consistency in quality and service as you do at Era. When you visit Era, you know exactly what to expect – good quality food at reasonable prices, served with a smile. Every single time.

I would know, too, as over the past five years I would have enjoyed a meal here quite literally hundreds of times. I keep going back and back as, like I mentioned, I know I am going to get a tasty well-priced meal, and the menu is incredibly extensive with both an Albanian menu and a broader Mediterranean menu on offer. This allows for me to try something new every time I visit.

For people with food allergies or other dietary restrictions, you may find it difficult to eat out as many restaurants in Tirana simply don’t understand the severity and lack information on the true ingredients and preparation methods of their menu items. At Era, you’ll find the most common food restrictions clearly outlined on the menu, making it much easier for you to be sure you can enjoy your meal.

Though there are two central locations of this restaurant, be aware that it gets busy every night of the week and, as such, reservations, especially for large groups are strongly recommended.

Also note that there is no wifi here – you’ll have to actually talk to your dining companions!
